Everything seems usual: you have clean and silent floors in Green, the buzzing air conditioner and laptops, hot weather outside, thinking people inside… However, if you belong to BFTF and open your Facebook account: BANG, I promise you, at least five messages from people asking you to vote for someone called Nasser, inviting you to join groups with strange names like MEAP, or telling you that you'll earn $5 if you vote for somebody specific, a questionable democratic practice.
Is that crazy, strange, insane, or even ridiculous? It is definitely new in Great Petronia--but should you take our politicians seriously? Didn’t you see the carefully, lovingly-prepared toilet paper hanging around in every room proclaiming: “Vote for Rob – he will clean up politics”? Haven’t you been sitting in a room when somebody banged on the door, came in, said some senseless stuff with the words "vote, best, president, our, now, sorry" in it and left suddenly? Didn’t you get one of the thousands of pieces of paper saying “Vote = Cola”?
You did?! Be aware, the candidates for leader of Parliament are here: Dexter, Becky, Robert, Nasser and Nicole.- PATRICIA WEYKOPF
